FIRST is a non-lucrative organization which objective is to promote science and technology in young people from over 12 different countries that include the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico.

The American inventor Dean Kamen created it in 1989 and kids from kindergarden to high school may participate.
